Top 8 Worst Foods For Your Teeth #8 Dried Fruit

How could we talk negatively about this healthy snack. Many dried fruits like apricots, prunes, figs, and raisins, have a sticky texture. They therefore can get stuck and cling to teeth crevices. Since dried fruit contains fructose a natural sugar it leaves that sugar in tooth valleys and recesses long after you eat. If you like to eat dried fruits, be sure to rinse your mouth with water, and then brush and floss after.

So what might be a better alternative? Try fresh fruit instead. Fresh fruits are less concentrated with sugar, making them a better choice for your teeth.
